What's new — 2026 feature round-up

A digest of everything added recently so you know where to look.

Here's what arrived in autumn 2026 — each item has its own guide in this Knowledge Base (use the sections on the left or search). Guides with a Watch badge open with a narrated walkthrough; guides for Budgets, Stock & Parts, the PPM planner, sub-clients, Text Messages and the Referral Programme were added too.

• Health & Safety hub — HSE documents (policies, COSHH, CDM, fire, emergency) drafted by AI with approval, read & sign and client sharing; inspections and checklists on the phone with actions → jobs; accident book with RIDDOR assessment and F2508; training courses with quizzes, certificates and a competency matrix; toolbox talks with finger signatures; safety bulletins; legal register; client safety scorecards; the H&S Manager role; and the Template Library add-on with 140+ ready-made items, starter bundles and version updates.
• Accounts & Bookkeeping — bank statements and feeds, explaining lines with suggestions and rules, supplier bills (snap them on site), receipts and expense claims, mileage, VAT returns with HMRC MTD, reports, job profit with labour and margin alerts, and sync with Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent, Sage, Zoho Books and FreshBooks.
• Payroll — weekly/monthly, hourly/salaried, statutory pay, directors, annual leave with bank holidays and cover, P60s and P45s, payslips in My Work.
• HR & People — employee records and documents, onboarding/leaver checklists, probation and appraisal reviews with signed packs, geofenced clock in/out, two-stage holiday approval, sickness and fit notes, recruitment, and My HR self-service with a line-manager team card.
• E-mail Inbox — your mailbox becomes job requests: auto-create for known clients, acknowledgements, sender replies via your SMTP, urgent words, awaiting-reply nudges with snooze, the 8am digest, quick replies, AI scope of works with photo mark-up, before/after photos, and emergency routing with made-safe steps.
• Properties hub — every property across clients and sub-clients, address search, quick add, drag-to-move and bulk move, map view with compliance colours, nearest engineer with drive-time ETA and one-tap dispatch.
• Marketplace — browse vetted, insured contractors by trade and distance, compare, request quotes or offer jobs that raise works orders, message threads, reviews, favourites, new-contractor alerts, and invite your own suppliers.
• Live positions — engineers can share where they are; the Live Team Map and nearest-engineer panel show fresh positions.
• Platform & account — module add-ons with 14-day free trials, the collapsible sidebar with icon rail (and a workspace switch to keep it flat), two-factor sign-in, PDF branding presets on every PDF and matching e-mails, the welcome checklist for new admins, and e-mail verification on sign-up.

Earlier in 2026 the platform also gained:

• Contracts & Block Bookings — recurring contracted work with a visit calendar, default team, per-hour/day/visit rates, client self-service booking and per-visit invoicing (see the Contracts section).
• Client Portal (accounts, not links) — clients now log in with their own users and tiers, raise requests and emergencies, propose projects, book contract visits, rate visits, approve quotes, view invoices and confirm payments. Per-client white-label branding, branded emails and custom login links.
• Invoicing — Raise Invoice buttons on jobs, emergencies and projects; Send to Client Portal; automatic payment reminders (3 days before due, then overdue); Client PO number on every invoice and PDF.
• Quote SLAs — amber/red working-day SLAs on requests awaiting quotes, flashing beacons, must-acknowledge dashboard popup, 07:30 digest and an SLAs page with trends. Thresholds are editable in Settings.
• Supplier tooling — services multi-select catalogue, UK county picker, coverage map with gap finder and recruitment hit-list, public application form with document upload, onboarding checklist and one-click approval, welcome packs, profile refresh invites with merge preview, subcontractor flags, profile-change digests and completeness reminders, area-match suggestions with one-click 'Ask' on requests.
• Works orders — for jobs and emergencies as well as projects; fully editable drafts; off-system suppliers; supplier-safe (cost-only) copies; one-tap supplier acceptance.
• Supplier portal quoting — line-by-line quotes with a private markup you never see; one-tap accept → job/works order.
• In-house — Plan My Day route planner, morning route emails, mileage log with claim rates and PDF, day routes on the Dispatch Board, operative assignment emails, what3words on every job.
• Security & governance — role-based permissions with Operations Director, brute-force lockout, tenant isolation hardening, Staff Monitoring suite with timers, weekly report and low-activity alerts.
• Collaboration — notes with @mentions (plus email alerts) on jobs, emergencies, projects, requests and quotes; property access notes pushed into dispatch emails, WhatsApp offers and works-order PDFs.
