Browse & compare vetted contractors

Find approved contractors by trade, area, availability and rating — and compare up to three.

The Marketplace (Suppliers group → Marketplace, an add-on) lists contractors who advertise on Fixlr. Every listing is approved by the Fixlr team before it goes live and contractors must hold valid public liability insurance — the Insured badge drops automatically the day a certificate lapses.

Trade (70-trade catalogue plus contractors' own extras), area (type a postcode — results show 6.9 mi drive and can be sorted Nearest), county/region, day of the week, 24/7 call-outs, minimum rating, favourites and free-text search. Sort by rating, response time, distance or newest.

On each card

Trades, coverage, rating and jobs completed, indicative hourly / call-out / day rates, an Away until … pill when they're unavailable, and a reply-time label (Usually replies within an hour) once they've answered a few requests.

Tick Compare on up to three cards → a side-by-side table: rating, reply time, availability, distance, trades, coverage, hours, 24/7, rates, VAT, insurance and accreditations, team size, listed since.

Favourites & alerts

Star a contractor to keep them under Favourites. Switch on New-contractor alerts and Fixlr tells you (in-app + e-mail to your office address) when a contractor matching your recent searches goes live.
