Live positions: engineers sharing where they are

Opt-in live location from the engineer's phone, how fresh it is, and where the office sees it.

Engineers can choose to share their live position while they work. It's strictly opt-in — a switch on My Work that stays on until they turn it off — and nothing is recorded when it's off.

How it works

• The phone sends a fix every minute or after 50 m of movement; the card shows Sharing · sent 2 min ago · ±12 m.
• A header pill reminds the engineer that sharing is on, on every page.
• Signing out stops sharing and deletes the stored position.
• Positions older than 15 minutes are shown as stale (grey); after two hours they disappear.

Where the office sees it

• In-House Team → Live Team Map: pulsing dots for fresh positions, grey for stale, plus the Sharing live position list and an N sharing chip. On-site pins stay numbered to match the side list.
• Properties → Map → Engineers (nearest engineer): a fresh live fix ranks first with a green Live · 3 min ago badge and drive-time ETA.

Note: Each person opts in on their own login — another engineer using the same phone has to switch it on themselves.
