Asset passport: QR labels & scan-to-report

Print a label, stick it on the kit — anyone who scans it sees the history and can report a fault without logging in.

Every asset gets a short passport code and a public page at /a/<code>. The asset page's Asset passport card gives you the QR, a Label download (QR + name, category, site, serial and tag), Print, Copy link and a Preview. Tick several assets in the register and use Print N labels for a batch sheet.

What a scanner sees

Your branding (or the client's white-label if the asset belongs to a white-labelled client), the asset's name and location, status/condition, next and last service, warranty state, meter reading and the recent service history — never costs, notes or book value.

Report a fault

The big button opens a short form (what's wrong, how urgent, who you are). It lands as a job request tagged with the asset, admins get an in-app alert (urgent reports are marked critical), the asset page shows an open fault badge, and the passport warns later scanners that a fault is already reported.

Already-labelled kit

Enter the existing barcode/QR/NFC value in Tag & links. Scan tag on the register (camera or typed) resolves either your code or a passport URL straight to the asset. If a printed passport code leaks, use Issue a new code — old labels stop resolving.
